Google recently removed at least 36 apps from Google Play store after it was alerted of malicious intent. These camera apps were mostly published in the second half of 2019. The developers of these apps tricked malicious adware functions to get past Google’s security scans. These apps have been reported by a Bot mitigation company White Ops, as reported by ZDNet. Apart from bombarding users with ads, these apps navigate users to unverified and unrelated URLs. It is also not easy for users to uninstall these app as they automatically hide the apps’ icons from the phone. So, if you have downloaded any of these 36 apps from Google Play, it is highly recommended that you delete them.
