Deepika Singh’s mother tests COVID positive; actress urges Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal to help as there are no beds available

Diya Aur Baati Hum actress Deepika Singh has shared a video on her Instagram account urging Delhi Government and Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal seeking help as her mother tested COVID positive. The actress is worried for her parents and other family members who stay in Delhi’s crowded Paharganj area.

Deepika has appealed to CM Kejriwal that her father is facing great difficulty as he has not been given reports by a government hospital and is being asked to take a picture of the reports. The actress has urged to help her mother with medical assistance at the earliest.

Along with the video, the actress shared a caption which has details of her family. She wrote, “My mom has been diagnosed with Covid positive. ‪My mom & dad are in Delhi. The test has been done in Lady Hardinge hospital & they didn’t give reports . They only allowed my father to click its picture. I really hope the concerned personell are reading this and my mom there receives some relief. We need your help . She requested in the video that her mother aged 59 is still at home and can’t be admitted to hospital without reports. She also shared in the video that her sister who was not aware of her mother’s condition has also landed in Delhi to help her parents and now they all are scared as more people can be infected if not given proper medication.

Deepika revealed in the video that her parents live in a joint family of 45 people and it is not possible to do the treatment at home. She stated that she has used all her contacts to get her mother admitted in the hospital but is facing issues as there are no beds available in the hospitals. She also gave her husband’s contact number in the video so that they can receive medical help as soon as possible.

Deepika stays in Mumbai with her husband and has a four-year-old son, Sohum. Hence, she can’t travel to Delhi to help her parents. She is constantly in touch with them over the phone and trying her best to help them.
