The former PM in a statement released earlier in the day said that PM Narendra Modi must be mindful of the implications of his words and cannot allow China to use them as a vindication of its position. The former PM had said that disinformation is no substitute for diplomacy or decisive leadership.
In response to Singh’s statement, BJP national president, Jagat Prakash Nadda in a series of tweets, questioned the “conduct and actions of top leaders of the Congress party “.
Nadda said that while Congress “always questions & demoralises our armed forces”, the 130 crore Indians fully trusts Prime Minister Narendra Modi who has shown “his administrative experience in some of the most testing times”.
