Sonia lays Covid, China stand-off blame at BJP’s door | India News

NEW DELHI: Amid the SinoIndian standoff in Ladakh, the Congress Working Committee on Tuesday asked the Modi government to defeat the “nefarious designs” of China to grab Indian territory while asking PM Narendra Modi to not allow his no intrusion remark to be used by the belligerent neighbour.
CWC said China should be in “no doubt” that Galwan Valley, Pangong lake and the Hot Springs area are inalienable parts of India. Besides China, CWC also issued statements slamming the Centre over its handling of the pandemic and continued hike in fuel prices. Congress chief Sonia Gandhi said amid the economic crisis and pandemic situation, India has been hit by a “full blown crisis on the borders with China” and “much of each crisis is attributable to the mismanagement of BJP government”.
She said it has together resulted in widespread misery, fear and danger to country’s territorial integrity. Rahul Gandhi also tore into Modi, saying, “China has brazenly occupied our territory. The PM has destroyed our position and betrayed our Army by accepting their position that they occupied no Indian land.”
